Multiscale Correlation Analysis between Wind Direction and Meteorological Parameters in Guadeloupe Archipelago

In this paper, the wind direction (WD) behaviour with respect to variability of other meteorological parameters (i.e., rainfall (R), temperature (T), relative humidity (Rh), solar radiation (SR) and speed (U)) was studied in a multi-scale way. To carry out study, Hilbert–Huang transform (HHT) framework applied Guadeloupe archipelago dataset from 2016 2021. Thus, time-dependent intrinsic correlation (TDIC) analysis based on multivariate empirical mode decomposition (MEMD) performed. For time scales between ∼3 days ∼7 months, localized positive negative correlations WD have been identified. The alternation these more significant for T Rh. With regard SR U, there dominance WD. We assumed that micro-climate previously identified literature study area plays key role behaviours. A strong R found months ∼2.5 years. At annual scale, relationships all were long range no transition observed showing impact Earth’s cycle climatic variables. All results clearly show influence R-T-Rh-SR-U over different scales.
